Decorating the kitchen

Well kind of.. Me and my flat mate, Ellen were sat in the kitchen last night, thinking how plain and boring it looks all white, and we said we wished we could decorate. As we rent, we can't, but what we can do is draw on paper and stick it up, so that's exactly what we did..

We sketched out what we 

planned to draw..

On this wall..

 Using the spare 5 meters of 

paper i had left over from 

the 5 meter drawing project..

I cut it out to fit the wall..

 And started to paint..

I painted the faces..

and Ellen painted the letters..

 Then stupid me spilt water all over my face :(

But i kind of managed to save

it, the painting is finished now..

 I just added a black outline

 around it all to finish it off..

Hahaha, so it isn't the best art work ever, but it certainly brightens up our flat!

And here we have a picture of both of us with our painting, and as it was such a special moment, we went to all the effort of putting our onsies on just for the camera haha!

5 meter drawing

Worst project yet!

The first part of the brief was to create a 5m drawing of the history of the universe. I chose to do the science side of things, from the big bang up to humans. It was a lot harder than i thought to get research, i typed everything in google but could not find a timeline, in the end i borrowed a book from a friend which was a huge help, so thank you Sunjay!

Humm.. It's okayyy.. I kinda like it, but it's wrong, we had to make symbols, not pictures, so i can't use it for my actual work, which i'm annoyed about, but oh well. So i have to re work it now to make symbols, which i'm finding really hard, like what symbol represents ALL fish, and ALL mammals etc etc. It's so difficult! But i'll think of something i'm sure..
